Borla
The round, bell-shaped Rajasthani head ornament worn at the centre of the forehead, in place of a flat tikka.
A borla is three-dimensional rather than flat: a small dome or sphere hanging at the end of the parting chain.
It is the defining Rajasthani and Marwari head ornament, and it is called a rakhdi in some communities.
The dome is usually meenakari enamelled and set with kundan or pearls.
