Rope Length
Anything beyond about 36 inches. Long enough to knot, layer or wear as several strands at once.
A rope is the longest classic length and the most adaptable. It can be knotted at the chest, doubled, tripled, or worn full length.
Historically the sautoir, it is the length associated with 1920s dress and with dramatic single-piece styling.
Because it uses many more pearls, rope length in large or well-matched pearls becomes expensive quickly, so it is most often made in smaller or baroque pearls.
